I don’t know what to do

FTM here and my son has been the perfect baby during the day, doesn’t cry that much, eats well, sleeps, just all around perfect little joy. But once it’s bed time he changes. Right around 12-1 am be starts to scream and cry. We thought it was gas so we did everything to relieve it. Still screaming. We thought he was hungry (was his feeding time) and he wouldn’t latch on to my boob. It took my amazing husband wrapping him up in our Boba baby carrier and rocking him to get him to finally stop so I could get some sleep. Is there anything anyone can suggest to help?? I know babies don’t sleep the night but if I could get the screaming to stop it would help. I feel like such a bad mom.
