College with a baby? Surgical tech? CMA?

Elizabeth

So, I am 22 years old, 11 weeks pregnant, and currently working full time at a factory that pays very well for what it is. I’ve been going to the local community college on and off since I graduated high school in 2016. I had originally planned on becoming a surgical technologist and was working on my prerequisites before life just got in the way and I had to put school on hold for a bit. I had planned on going back to start the program before landing my current job. But then I started making so much money, I questioned whether going back to school would be worth it or not. From what I’ve seen, I’d actually be taking a pay cut changing careers like this. But since finding out I’m pregnant I’ve been really driven to go back. I DO NOT want to be in a factory for the rest of my life. It’s not for me. I’m just trying to decide if I’d like to continue where I left off with the surgical program or if I’d like to become a cma. Is it possible to go to school full time with a baby? At most both programs are only 3 semesters long. Also, does anyone currently work in either field? And what do you think of it? What were the class-loads like? Were you pregnant or had children when you were taking classes?
