Membrane sweep hell

Overdue 41+2 days here! Had a membrane sweep today they barely got in “there” before I was gripped with horrible pain and they stopped because because I couldn’t take it. My midwife told me she played with my cervix and that should start moving things along. I feel like I’m such a baby for not letting them finish the sweep. Only 1cm dialated. My midwife told me to try pumping when I went home to stimulate contractions. I’ve done EVERY old school remedy known to man. Did anyone go through this? Any advise?

I’m also trying for a home birth which I won’t be able to do if I go past 42 weeks so feeling stressed...
