My boyfriend of 8 years has been asking me to be more verbal during sex. Which I’m not against but I have no idea how to do. I’m a very shy and closed in person and I lack a lot of confidence and feeling comfortable with myself generally so I often have the same issues with sex. During sex a few times he’s asked me to say that I want it and whatever but I just don’t know what else to sayyyyy I’m awkward and scared. Please help me lmaooooo :(

It's harder to get into it when you have someone who wants you to say certain things just go with the flow start off with easy things to say like harder or even just simple as oh God yes or don't stop and then work your way up as long as you still remain comfortable. remember you don't have to do something your partner wants you to do if it makes you uncomfortable or you don't feel confident doing it.

Honestly I struggle with dirty talk too. It seems like it comes naturally for my boyfriend but I feel sooo out of place and out of character. I’ve googled like “sexy things to say to your partner” just to come up with ideas to say😂 what I did is pick one phrase that sounds really good, rehearsed it in my head a few times, and then tried it the next time we had sex. I’ve repeated that process a few times hahaha no shame. It really helped me step out of my bubble and gain confidence.

Guys have ridiculous sexual expectations that they have generated through porn where the girl is basically an object. If it’s going to make sex uncomfortable for you there’s no point because then you won’t enjoy it yourself. I find I prefer talking a little over pretending to moan for their entertainment. I don’t act, just say how I feel. So for example if what he is doing feel tell him it feels good. Or tell him he should do something that you do like and show some initiative which will be sexy. Tell him what he’s doing is turning you on during foreplay. The more genuine the things you are saying are, the less awkward you will feel saying them because you think it, not just think it’s what he wants to hear! x
