Idk... i don’t wanna ask my bf for it... and surely i can buy myself flowers (i always do) but damn i think that’s like the one thing that would make my heart absolutely melt like he really thought of me like that🥺? Idk. A girl can dream. I don’t think guys are like that anymore lol

Sweetie let me start off by saying, that guys cannot read your mind, or know what you require or need unless you say something. It’s like women who say I don’t want anything for my birthday and then get mad when they get nothing. He’s doing what you asked for. If you want something take a picture of it tell him the size and details or website etc so you get what you want and aren’t disappointed when he gets you socks or something from 7-11 last minute because he forget. If you want flowers, then say hey babe I love flowers, it would really make me feel loved and appreciated and special if you randomly gave me flowers. Lillies are my favorite. And if he doesn’t take the hint within a month or two, then he’s clueless or cheap or doesn’t want to waste money on things that die quickly. Or take a picture of some flowers and say those are my favorite would love to get them some time. Also know that men do not pay attention to details. Perfect example. My brother and his wife. She sent him to the store to get stocking stuffers for the girls. She said go to the sample section and get them hand cream. He came back with body scrub and body wash, samples. They don’t know the difference. Same when she sent him for eyeliner and came back with mascara. Men know the basics. Black, white, blue, they don’t know Fuchsia or aqua or teal. I told her next time send him with a picture or an empty container so he can say to someone, help me find this. Gotta be specific with men. I grew up in a house full of men and most of my friends were men and they tell me what and how they think. Which is why I get men. And yes I have gotten flowers. Because i don’t beat around the bush, I already know that hints don’t work with men, can’t be passive aggressive or anything else. Yup gotta remind them constantly about things because unlike us, they can’t multitask. Where we can keep all the balls in the air work and take care of the house and kids and pay bills etc. they work and want to relax when they get home. They forget the little things. You gotta remind them 3, 2, 1 week before, 3 days before, 1 day before. Which is why you see so many men on Xmas eve at the mall shopping last minute. It’s part of them. Sometimes you get lucky, the ones that were independent before they came to you and not from their moms house, to your house, that actually know how to cook and clean up after themselves and fix things etc. but sadly the younger they are, the more of a chance you have of the mamas boy that waits until you get tired of asking and end up doing it yourself. You are better off alone than in bad company.

You should communicate that with him. Some girls don’t like flowers. I personally don’t. My boyfriend brought me roses on our first date. Although it was a sweet gesture when we became a couple I told him not to ever waste money on flowers. You wanna make me happy than send me a text to say you miss me, or call me, or the real way he won my heart was to buy me food. He hasn’t gone wrong yet

Does he do anything else kind for you? I say this cause my partner has NEVER bought me flowers but he shows me in other ways. For example I mentioned wanting to play tennis and he came home with racquets and balls to play together. He will suggest getting dumplings from my favourite restaurant for dinner because he knows I like it. Hell, when he gets fuel at the servo he brings me a kitkat cause I like them. Those gestures mean way more then flowers to me (even though I’d still like flowers lmao). So maybe try think of anything he may do in other ways to show you that you may be overlooking!
