Has anyone outside your household seen your baby amid Covid-19?

I gave birth March 27, 2020 and no one has been able to visit us due to the stay at home order besides first doctors appointment of course. How are you all dealing with this? Has anyone gave in and allowed people like their mom to see the baby?

So we were following the stay at home order in our state, but then we didn't... We had my FIL over (who lives alone). We figured there was low risk there. Then later we went an hour and a half away to visit my parents for a day. For now, it's just been our parents we've been visiting with. Honestly, I need it for my mental health. PPD hitting me way harder than when I had my first baby.

My mom saw my son at 1 day old cuz she was watching my oldest while we were in the hospital. Then we went about a month while everyone was basically staying home. Now my mom comes over. I feel like unless you’re gonna quarantine until 2021 you’ve got to start opening yourself up to limited people... we will have to go back to work eventually.

That’s if you want to put your baby at risk. You don’t know for a fact that even ur sister who loves 2 houses down isn’t carrying the virus. It’s completely up to you if u want to. Do what ya want 😀

I had my baby March 3rd so we've seen a lot of people. He was a week old before everything started shutting down in my state. But even after I still continued to see my parents. Ppd was starting to kick my butt being at home alone all day long

Not one single person has met her. Our family all lives out of state but it wouldn’t change if they lived close. The whole asymptomatic thing scares me. Not worth the risk at all

I had my girl on 3/8 just before our first stay at home order. Only two people came to the hospital, my mom and a good friend. It's only recently that we've done a couple of 6 foot apart yard visits, I don't let anyone in the house or hold the baby.

Our daughter was born on March 10th. Family all went to see her that day. By the next day, they were restricting visits to 1 person per room, and no one under 14 years old. The following day, they announced school closures and stay at home orders. She was born right on time so that everyone got to hold her once. Now, family and close friends come by but only on the sidewalk outside of our fence and we all wear masks.

Our families have met her. Everyone has been isolating and taking precautions so we aren’t super concerned.

No one has but when we get back to our home town (we have been living aboard and are currently driving across the continent after our two week quarantine) he will meet my mom and dad.

My daughter was born March 29th. My mom was my ride home from the hospital. She brought my brother and my dad followed us. I have a history of depression and with my boyfriend still working for a few weeks until our stay at home order was issued, I desperately needed the support. I was calling my mom everyday. I was crying. I wanted to lock myself in my bathroom to get away from my daughter's screaming. I was sore and my nipples were cracked and bloody. I could not have done this without my family. My boyfriend got to stay home with us for almost 30 days, but he went back to work last week and it got hard again. I took my daughter to meet my best friend who had a son February 5th. Both babies did so well and it was so nice for both of us to see people other than who we live with.
