Different price tag on item vs online

So I ordered a pair of jeans from true religion. I’m in Canada and I know the prices are obviously not the same. But when I ordered online they were $275 but on sale for $175 so I ordered them and got them but when I looked at the tag on them they had a price of $116 and said MRSP beside it which I’m pretty sure is the recommended sale price. But why are they tagged for $116 and why did I pay $175 with a discount? I’m probably wrong but I don’t understand lol
