UTI at five weeks pregnant
I have a history of recurrent UTIs, though I haven’t had one for years. I mentioned that I’ve been having cramping to an urgent care doctor, and my OB prescribed antibiotics. She said to take them, and if the test is negative for a UTI to stop taking them and call back. My cramps are very painful and way worse then “normal period cramp pain.” I’ve called and they told me to take Tylenol and ride it out, and that it’s probably normal implantation cramps being exacerbated by the UTI since I’m not bleeding and the pain is in my middle lower abdomen. I just wanted to ask if anyone has similar pain from a UTI in early pregnancy. It’s been a very rough day of off and on cramps that leave me stuck on the couch waiting for them to pass.
