Hatch volume

For those of you who have the Hatch sound machine, what volume do you keep your white noise at? My LO bedroom is right next to the stairs which creak when you walk up/down them and we keep it at volume 38, is that too loud? We also keep the sound machine on the floor right next to her crib. Thanks

Update: I looked at Takingcarababies Instagram story and she said in the womb is about 77-90 dB. I downloaded a dB app and using the Hatch with the dB reader right next to the machine on volume 50 is 88 dB. Not sure I’d go this high since it sounds pretty loud but according to her, that volume is safe and not harmful to LO ears. Interesting.
