Birthday party?

The majority of us weren’t able to throw our babes the party we had been planning and looking forward to due to Covid. I was hoping to reschedule and had let all potential guests know, but now I’m feeling kind of weird about it🙁 Has anyone set a date for your baby’s belated party yet? Is it going to be as extravagant as you were previously planning? I guess I just feel like the excitement has wore off a bit since her actual birthday was almost a month ago now. Ugh!

Unfortunately I don’t think I’m going to feel comfortable with a large party for a long time to come. I’m even thinking we may not be able to have a birthday party for my older day the end of the summer. I don’t know, maybe I’ll feel differently in another month or two but I doubt it. At any rate I certainly haven’t planned it out yet.

I’m not doing a party later. We had a fine time with just the 4 of us. He won’t remember it anyways and my 10 year old has never asked about his 1 yr old party. We usually do bigger ones when they’re a bit older.

I had initially rescheduled her party for this weekend & another back up date in June back in March when this all started. But now it’s rescheduled indefinitely. Since we paid in full for the event space and decor & cake I plan on a future party. Honestly I’m just thinking of doing a 1 + 1 party for her 2nd birthday. I don’t trust any large gatherings until a vaccination is in place.

No we are going to have a big celebration with family and friends to just celebrate being together and everyone's birthdays that were missed weve missed lots in the family and with friends not just my babes so itll be a celebration of all things for us all and we have no odea realistically when we will even want to be with so many people in a small space so it could be a long time coming so definitely not planning anything x

I originally had it rescheduled for 6/6 but here in PA, everything has been extended to 6/4. The plan was to celebrate all family/friends who has had a birthday over the last 3 months who we haven’t gotten to see. But with everything continuing to be rescheduled and places remain closed, it’s difficult to get the things I wanted and some family and friends still won’t feel comfortable by that point to be in a group setting. So, I might cancel the “big” party we had planned and just do something with our close family members sometime in the summer.

I was hoping to have a combined party at the end of August for my lo and bigs but I'm not even sure how thatd go down at this point.  If anything does happen, it will be small and most likely each family will have their own table. That's the only way I see it even happening.  I'm thankful my kids are really young and dont understand what's going on and wouldnt be devastated by no birthday parties.
