Covid 19 testing

My dr informed me that when I go into the hospital in labor that they test all moms for covid 19. I asked what happened if I were to test positive and he said I would be separated and isolated from my baby for 2 weeks.

I am in tears, I am scared, and I don’t know who to gear my anger toward. Can they really just take my baby away and not let me see her for 2 whole weeks? This is supposed to be the best day of my life and I’m no longer excited.

Any other moms get this news? I am not going anywhere I do not leave my house, but my husband is an essential worker so he could be exposed at anytime.
