My due date was May 23rd. I was 1 cm dilated for 2 weeks. I didn't have any contractions or any other signs of labor. Then, at 11:41 PM May 6th my water broke. We went to the hospital and once again I was 1 cm dilated. 4 hours later I was still 1 cm. They put me on a pitocin drip and after another 4 hours on that I was 2 cm. 3 hours later I told them that it felt like I needed to push. I was checked and she said I was 7 cm. I told them I wanted an epidural even though my plan was to have an unmedicated birth. She went to get the cart to give it to me. 30 minutes later when she came bs k and che led me she said I was 10 cm and I would push. 4 push layers and I had a little girl laying on me. I didn't tear and I was so glad in the end I did it unmedicated. I was able to get up and take a bath about an hour and a half later. I am recovering really well. Nobody thought I could do it naturally. Even me at the end, but I did and if you want to you can to. And if you are sad because you aren't showing any signs, don't get two sad. It can happen at any moment.
