Do you believe in manifestation?

I came across this and it got me thinking

Personally I believe in the power of manifestation. Tbh I believe I manifested my pregnancy, the health of my pregnancy, buying my home, etc. 
some religious texts speak about “ speaking things into existence”
Just wondering how others feel about manifestation

Yes I believe in manifestation.
I believe you have the power to attract anything u want in life. That doesn’t mean u have this magical ability to make things happen out of no where, rather manifesting something is more of a lifestyle than it is a special power. 
U have to truly believe in yourself, and your own personal power/motivation/rigor whatever u wanna label it, u have to believe in it in order to succeed.
Manifestations aren’t always positive either. If your intentions aren’t pure, ur result will almost always be a negative one.. ie, karma

This is something I've been thinking a lot about lately. 
And I think i've come to the conclusion that this is something only the privileged can really believe. 
Some people are simply born into circumstances too terrible to ever really change, or find themselves in circumstances over which they have no control. 
People from first world countries who have freedom of choice and movement? Sure, I think the possibilities are whatever we can conceive them to be. But I also think it's important to keep in mind not everyone is that lucky.

No, I don't believe in manifestation. While I am responsible for myself and the choices I make in life, I don't believe I have the power to bring things into being the way manifestation purports to work. It seems like a way to delegitamize people a bit when they suffer loss or don't get something they've been attempting to manifest, as in, "if you just believed enough, you would have ABC thing that you want." There are those in the Christian community who do much the same, treating God like some sort of fairy godmother whose only job is to dispense treats to the truly faithful - "Well, obviously you didn't pray hard enough or didn't have enough faith to do (insert thing)."

I do, to an extent. This is super weird, but I started drawing sigils on my feet to manifest things I wanted in life. The idea is/was that every time you walked you would “charge” the sigil and thus make it more powerful. 
I did one for love and friendship and I met my now-husband a few days later. I did another one for conceiving a healthy baby and we conceived that cycle. It’s very possible that it was just coincidence, but even so I believe there is power behind speaking/writing your intentions.

To an extent.  We can create conditions to nurture outcomes.
I like to think of it like this, you plant a lettuce seed.  You nurture it by choosing nutrient rich soil, water it, etc.  You’re creating the conditions for lettuce to grow.  But if you expect that lettuce seed to grow you tomatoes... that’s a nope.

You still have to put the work in. You can manifest being pregnant all you want, but unless you're actively having unprotected sex or undergoing IVF treatments, there's no sperm meeting the egg for you to become pregnant. I follow a YouTuber who manifested her dream house, but she still had to house hunt and hold out on the house (i.e. not putting down on another house, but also continuing to look elsewhere) and hope that it came back on the market after someone else tried to close on it. 
I can manifest going to grad school all I want, but until I sit down and write a 20 page paper and submit an application, it's not going to happen.

I believe when you start looking at things with a new lens, you’ll start seeing life more positively and outweigh the bad with the good.

To an extent yes. I beleive that when we have the mindset for certain things we start to work towards them which is part of the manifestation process. I dont think its something where someone can just say "I want to be rich" and then boom they're rich. It's about attitudes, and actions.
