You can’t “get” him to stop. You can express your concerns, tell him your feelings, support him if he tries to quit, offer love and support, but he needs to make the decision in his own. And if he doesn’t, you have to accept him regardless. 
My man, when I met him, smoked weed constantly, drank a lot, smokes his little vape thing, and chews tobacco. He decided to quit drinking and smoking marijuana, but still vapes (it’s like a Sorin or whatever?) and chews. That’s how he was when I met him, and there’s nothing I can do to stop him. He knows the risks. He used to smoke cigarettes but quit that before I met him. 
Ultimately, it doesn’t effect my life. Sure, the risks involved make me sad because it could cause him to have health complications later on. I’m proud he is sticking to his sobriety (it’s been 4 months now) and am doing my best to support him in that. I’ve scrunched my nose up when he pulls out his tobacco, he knows I think it’s yucky, but i also know it’s his life and his decisions and I can’t make him stop if he doesn’t want to.
