Anyone get gallstones after deliver or their gallbladder removed ?

Yep! About a week after I had her I was having upper abdominal pain and high blood pressure, went to the er and they did an ultrasound. Told me my gallbladder needed to be removed. Had the surgery the next day! Said it was common after having a baby!

I was having horrible pain while pregnant with my first daughter, I went to the hospital and they saw I had gallstones and needed my gallbladder removed. But since I was 36 weeks, I had to wait until I was 37 weeks and I was induced. It helped ease some of the pain after giving birth, but within a month I got my gallbladder removed.

I had gall bladder attacks for months after my 2nd. Thought just bad stomach aches. Went to doctor, they did an ultrasound and said I needed it removed. I asked about alternatives and he RUDELY said “the only other option is diet change but no one in our society is capable of that so no you’ll need it removed”. So I went home and went vegan for 3 months and then eventually brought back in meat in very low amounts, continued to watch what I ate, lost 80lbs, and retaught myself how to be healthy. It’s been 2 years since then and I’ve had no more gall bladder attacks. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but I wanted to try before surgery. But I also know the pain and it’s unbearable. If you’re having gall bladder attacks try drinking apple cider vinegar and apple juice and warm water and lemon juice during an attack- it will help tremendously.
