Curious is your partner helping with the baby

Just curious on how you guys do it, does one work and one take care of baby or both work and both take care of the baby? My partner works some hours maybe 2-4 and when he comes home he really doesn't care about interacting with the baby? The baby is up all night as well. Maybe I'm wrong but shouldn't he spend a little quilty time with them, he's just on his game all the time
