Lidocaine with epinephrine

Today I had a tooth extracted. I’m 15 weeks along in my pregnancy. Anyways, while getting the topical anesthetic my heart started racing and the dentist informed me it was because the anesthetic contained epinephrine. That made me worried. The dentist was fully aware that I am expecting and I had my OB send her instructions/guidelines for my treatment. I got to the car and immediately googled this type of anesthetic only to realize that it is best avoided during pregnancy.

Anyways... I am now having super bad anxiety and was hoping that somebody could educate me on the risks associated, or perhaps put my mind at ease. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
