First time advice

I’m going to be losing my virginity soon. Me and my boyfriend have been together for a long time and we have talked about a lot (methods of birth control and how we’d handle a situation of getting pregnant) the only thing I worry about is it being painful. The only thing that has ever been up there is one finger, but I feel completely ready to lose my virginity. Are there any positions that could be less painful? Or any other way I can make sure it doesn’t hurt to bad?
