Measuring much further along than they thought?

Question

Hey ladies, so my due date is supposed to be July 10th, however.. I went to my doctor’s appointment this morning and they told me that I was measuring 35 weeks along, when I should only be 31 weeks and 6 days. We’re doing a sonogram at my next appointment in 2 weeks to see what the deal is.
Has this happened to anyone else? Was the baby just big or did they actually get your due date wrong somehow?
I’m kind of freaking out as this is my first baby, and I was pretty comfortable with still having 8 weeks to go, but now that’s been cut down to 5 weeks (if I actually am 35 weeks and she’s not just gigantic for being 32 weeks or something) I’m kind of nervous!

They probably went by your fundal height which could be wrong based on baby’s position- the ultrasound will tell you more. Try not to worry, mama!

It's very unlikely they are weeks off. They will go off of the earliest ultrasound, not at this point. I was measuring weeks ahead with fundal  height and she was overall 9 days ahead and she came a week late.

With my second baby I went in for my 27 week check up and when my doctor measured my belly I was measuring 31 weeks. He was a bit concerned since I’ve been measuring on track up until that appointment. He sent me to get an ultrasound done and found out I had polyhydramnios which means excess amniotic fluid. I was then consider high risk and had to get ultrasounds and a NST done 2 times a week to keep an eye on the fluid levels. But when I gave birth my son was perfectly healthy. Hoping that’s not the case for you.
