Has the reality show, Labor of Love, gone too far?

When I first saw this show advertised I thought it was an SNL skit and that it couldn’t possibly be true that a woman was looking for a baby daddy on a TV show. When I realized she was actually trying to speed date for the end purpose of breeding I felt a little sick that this was what reality TV had come to... but that’s just me. Curious what others think?

Some men have legitimate fantasies of “inseminating” or “planting their seed” in women. They have pregnancy fetishes. There are entire groups and forums for it. I feel like these are the kind of men this show would attract, and it gives me the heebie jeebies.

A lot of these tv arrangements end so if her goal is to "settle down and start a family" it seems like a horrible idea. I heard about it and thought it was weird AF.  I think it's gross to be honest and it will likely end in a divorce and shared custody of the child that they produce.

I’ve never seen a preview for this. So do they use baby props or child actors to simulate parenting together? I’m confused lol

It's not really any different than other dating shows. They've just both decided already that they want 1 of the end results to be a baby. Most people in normal relationships don't think about the what if it doesn't work out aspect. I'd think they would since they're meeting in a different way, but if they don't, it's still not really any different than other ways of meeting.

It sounds like every other dating show but with a more upfront goal. It takes away the question of children that every couple should be answering anyway
