Boyfriend and Shaving

Hi, recently I've been exploring my identity and finding ways to be more comfortable in my own skin.

One thing I've been experimenting with is being unshaven.

My boyfriend, of three years may I add, says he doesn't find this "sexually attractive." He's fine with the public region and my legs being grown out, just has a real issue with my pits. He sees this as something I should compromise on.

My stance is, currently, that it's not a compromise situation as it's my body.

Has anyone got any stories like this or experiences they can share that might help? I'm a bit confused, if I'm honest.
