IUI to IVF conversion in a matter of 4 days
Quick back story— I have PCOS so have never really been able to ovulate in my own. Two rounds of letrazole didn’t produce any significant follicles. Moved on to Gonal-F with letrazole and way over stimulated. Ultrasound tech said at least 22 follicles so my doctor offered to convert me over to IVF for a VERY decent price, but I had to make the decision within a few hours due to the additional meds I would need to take. Although IVF was not remotely in our plans any time soon, we decided to go for it on a whim, thinking this is all happening for a reason. Has anyone else come across this situation? I will only have 4 days to prep physically and mentally for IVF as I will go in for retrieval most likely on Wednesday 5/20. It’s all real hard to wrap your mind around this drastic change in such a short amount of time.
Also any thoughts on fresh vs frozen transfer, especially with a PCOS diagnosis.
