Growth🌿 Do you ever think about how every career, learning or social opportunity you’ve had has led you to be the person you are today? I have never had a position where my main focus was to coordinate community events but for over 10 years I have volunteered and pulled this aspect into every position I have held. For years, I applied to jobs to make this my main goal to no avail. Finally, Monday I started as the Outreach & Events Specialist for Manatee County Parks & Natural Resources (part time). A few of my top favorite things: Our local community, planning rad events and nature 🤯 . A few things I wanted to share that were on my mind as I took a short walk (&impromptu stretch) this morning: Pay attention to what tasks give you the most joy. Seek out opportunities to get good at that task. If a position doesn’t exist, pitch it. Be creative. Never settle.
