Bleeding the air out of your fuel lines

Heyooo, does anyone know how to do this?

I just replaced the fuel filter on my ‘92 F250 7.3 idi and it’s not turning over. I filled it with diesel even though I read you could put an additive in it. And I followed what the mechanic showed me to bleed out the air but nothing. I tried cranking it so many times it ran my batteries down (this is what she said, I’ll just need to keep cranking) so now I’m out of batteries and I need a new starter motor. Batteries are shot, they are old, I just need new ones but was hoping to get it running before I replace both. Anyone know of any tricks?
