Need Crate Training Advice/Tips!

Those who have successfully crate trained, I need some tips and advice.

The first day we got her I introduced her to the crate during the day with lots of praise and treats and she was fine with it, would rest in it during the day.

The first night I covered the crate, set it beside our bed, gave her my old shirt I had worn, lots of toys, and a blanket that her mother used. She cried for 45 minutes.

Well now during the day shes scared to go in the crate now and for the past two nights she has cried all night long 😫 I've taken her out to see if she needs to potty but she doesn't and just whines to be with me.

So any other tips/advice? Also is it okay for her to cry all night long like that? How long does this typically last?

I'm losing more sleep with her than when I had newborn twins 😂
