Transverse baby position (laying sideways) at 29 weeks

I am 29 weeks + 2 & today I went for my “growth” ultrasound and baby was transverse (laying side ways) and was told if baby doesn’t change positions by 36 weeks I will most likely need a C section. Has this happened to anyone at my stage & your baby changed to the right position just in time!?
