Growing out of bassinet... crib next?

My LO is growing out of her bassinet and my plan was to put her in a pack and play in our room until she’s 1. Anyone doing this or something similar? Her crib won’t fit in our room but was thinking of buying a mini crib. Just didn’t want to buy another thing she’s going to grow out of 😬 I like the pack and play, it just doesn’t seem comfortable and idk if it matters at this age or not?

My daughter was in a cradle in our room for 2 months, then we switched her to the bassinet part of the pack and play for a month, and the bottom of the pack and play for 2 months with a mattress in our room. Just before 5 months we moved her to her own room, even though I planned on waiting longer, and after two weeks she started sleeping completely through the night instead of getting up at 4 am. We both sleep so much better now, instead of every little move she made in her sleep waking me.

Our daughter sleeps in a crib in her room but we’ve used the pack n play when we travel and she seems to do well in there.  I think it would be a good option to try out

We used the pack.n play from the start. You. Can buy a matress for it to make it more comfortable. I know at least Amazon sells them.

I used a bassinet bedside for 3 months,  then moved her into her nursery a couple wks before I was supposed to go to work. 
I was anxious about it because it was convenient to me to nurse and put her to sleep in our room.  But even with the noise machine,  the noise of mom,  dad, or cat could wake her up. And she used to rotate in her bassinet; her head touching the wall would wake her.
She's been sleeping sooo good in her crib.  And i'm glad I got over my hangups,  because it was good for everyone.  She slept fine night 1 too, but I still stared at the baby monitor the first night. 
I guess I would ask why you don't want to put your LO in their own space?

Mine has been in her pack and play in our room since we came home from the hospital. I bought a mattress for it off Amazon and a fitted waterproof mattress cover as well (buy two of these cause tonight we had a blowout on one and thankfully had a backup for her to sleep on). 
Thank have different price ranges, this is brand we have.

This is the only sheet/cover I have been able to find that fits properly. Everything else made the mattress kinda bend.
