Is okay to lied??

My neighbor ask me if I’m pregnant, but since I’m trying my best to hide my belly by wearing larger shirts it starting to show a bit more . So I said no . Plus don’t want to announce my pregnancy yet just me and my husband knows. I’m 22 weeks pregnant by the way ☺️😊.

I feel like it’s pretty rude to ask if you’re pregnant. My neighbor is an intraday day tech at my OB’s office and someone I’ve known for over 15 years. She never asked, hinted, mentioned, a single thing to get me to tell her. She knew from my first appt. it’s pretty rude of someone to just ask, therefore I don’t feel like they gave you much of a choice. 🤷🏼‍♀️

When I was still trying to hide my pregnancy I would respond putting a hand on my stomach with a worried look on my face and say, “oh do I look bigger? Or?” Lol that would usually make them uncomfortable and change the subject instead of me lying 😂

I wouldn’t worry. Sometimes you are not ready to share. And people especially adults should know not to ask those kinds of questions of women. 
If it’s a neighbor you see often or are more friendly with, maybe seek them out when you do decide to announce and let them know that you weren’t ready to share the news publicly at that earlier time but do want them to know now.

I mean I feel like it’s super shady to tell someone that & then only a few weeks later announce it. That person will probably be more offended & it would bother me if I was lied to. Easier just to say that you are, but keeping it a secret for as long as you can or something.

That’s hard, it is considered a lie, but it’s up to you to tell, BUT they did ask, (which i would never ask someone that) but they did, I would have said yes but not to tell anyone cause you aren’t ready for it to be public...it might be awkward when it comes out that you are when you told them you weren’t.
