Covid-19 labour- my king is here!

Hi all,

I can’t believe I am a mother now. My miracle baby is here, healthy and safe. The labour was hectic to say the least. I had the caught the dreaded virus whilst I was pregnant but thought it had passed which it never. I was induced 6th May and my husband and I both had to be retested the morning of, prior, to arriving at the hospital.

My husbands came back as negative thank god but mines was still showing positive. 😔 sadly my husband was asked to leave the hospital which resulted me to going through my first labour alone 😢 thank goodness for FaceTime and WhatsApp video.

32 hours later and an emergency c section my son was born- the best day of my life. Sadly I didn’t get to do skin on skin straight away or see him in person for 4 days when I got my 1st negative and he was able to come home.

He is a fighter like his mummy and I couldn’t be happier holding him and having him by my side.

To the women that are currently pregnant and due during this confusing time.
