Hey Ladies, if you had a baby 7 years ago and have no baby things and its forsure your last baby would you have a shower or something small?

No because imo a baby shower is for first time parents. If you want to celebrate your pregnancy you can by inviting your loved ones over to dinner or a bbq.

Girl you can have a baby shower anytime you want! Your real friends and family will show up and support you. I’d do it, it’s been so long and everyone would understand and want to help!

Where I grew up it’s considered tacky to have a shower after the first baby. That doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the baby in some way but traditionally a shower is because guests are expected to come and “shower mom and baby with gifts.” If you just wanna have a party and tell people no gifts that’s different.

Sure if you are a lady who likes baby showers why can't ever baby be celebrated?? This one is no less special or different that #1. Tweak the registry a bit maybe from what you would have done for baby 1 but if people don't want to buy gifts nobody will make them. Celebrate that baby!! It's a special thing in life.

For sure!! I’m pregnant with baby #2 and am opting out of one. HOWEVER, that is only because I am pregnant with another boy and they are only going to be 18 months apart so I still have practically everything saved from my first pregnancy with my son. Might have a diaper shower though. If I were pregnant with a girl, I’d like to have one
