Would you still bring your children around your mother if she shows favoritism to her grandchildren? Like acknowledges all the other children but not your own

My husbands mom only was interested in our younger son . My husband doesn’t allow her to see neither now bc she makes our oldest feel unloved

My MIL does this!! 🙄 My SO brothers wife was pregnant the same time as me this year AND last year so both our babies are only 3 months apart, my SO brother is the favourite so his daughter is the favourite grandchild and his son will be born in a few weeks and he's already a favourite aswell even though there's 11 grandchildren all up and they can all see that they're being treated differently, so I stopped her from seeing my kids because it's just heartbreaking, I don't want my kids feeling left out, I'd rather just stay home with them and them feel loved, a few days later my SO older sister called saying that his mum was going to family court so she could have the kids every weekend, because she said she doesn't get to see them enough, doesn't have a bond blah blah blah, I said no fucking way not while you smoke in the house! the only way I'd let her take the kids was if she agreed to stop smoking in the house while my kids were there, she agreed and had them for that weekend and now haven't had them since because she's to busy with the favourites 😐
I can't stand favouritism, because the kids don't feel as loved and that's not fair on them.

This can all depend on the grandmother because some can flip the blame that they don't have a bond because they don't see a child as often.

Nah I wouldn’t. My grandparents showed obvious favorites. I was one of them so I didn’t even notice until I was older. My one grandmother didn’t like her grandsons. She only liked the girls. I didn’t even notice this until my brother said something about it and it obviously affected him. I wouldn’t want someone doing that to my kid and making them feel less than someone else.

My cousins husbands father is remarried and they have been through this with him and stepmother.  They make a fuss over his sisters kids step siblings kids but hardly acknowledge his children.  My cousins family used to drive hours out of state to have thanksgiving with them and they would eat without waiting for them.  I don’t have time for people like that.  Don’t beg for attention.

I’m very afraid of this happening. My MIL has already had tendencies to show that she’s more interested in my nephew (her daughters) than she is with this pregnancy (her sons). She’s been very detached and not at all interested. Granted my husband and I plan to parent differently than my SIL and MIL so im sure they aren’t fond of that.
