Ending FWB

I’ve been sleeping with this guy off and on for a year now. Nothing will ever come from it. Just sex and friendship. Not even sex that often but we text everyday. Unfortunately I have developed feelings for him. He sucks at affection and communication so I don’t know if he has for me. Anyway, I’m tired of feeling hurt. I cry almost daily bc I miss our chats when he doesn’t text. Should I explain all of this to him and tell him how my feelings are involved or just stop texting him all together? Either way I will still feel hurt. I’m almost afraid of what he will say.
