When should I get birth control

So I’m wanting to get birth control that would help my period not be as bad but I’m 13. I have hated my period and having to track it. I also can’t swim for school due to symptoms and how much it bleeds. I have had my period for 3 years. I want advise or help in what I should get, use, or take. So what do you think?🤷‍♀️🤔

You are too young to take birth controls, i know the pain sucks and the symptoms are really bad but you are just too young...swimming can wait 5 days per month, it's not like you are dying if you don't swim...but if you really want to get rid of the period you should talk to your mom and then with your doctor to see if it is ok or not.
