What happens at first appointment?

What happened at your first appointment? Did you have an ultrasound or a pelvic exam or both? Did they take your blood and a urine sample?

Depends where you go and where you live.

My first midwife appt here in BC, Canada we went over our medical history, asked questions, learned a bit more about midwifery, and then my midwife ordered bloodwork, a urine sample, and a dating ultrasound (only because my last period lasted 1 day.)

My next appointment will be going over the results, looking further into my medical history, probably listening for a heartbeat, and then deciding if we're a good fit.
