I’ve found joy and a new meaning in my life💕✝️
So before I start I just wanted to say I grew up Christian, going to church with my family on sundays. Was taught to fear God and if I didn’t obey him I would be sent to hell. If I didn’t pray I may not wake up the next morning. I was told this as a young child. As I grew older I started to question my faith and feel unfullfied with it. At this time I also was gaining my own beliefs and learning that I fully supported LGBT people, my own cousin who is like a sister to me came out as lesbian and I had LGBT friends. I thought, Well I cant be Christian if I support gay people can I? That’s what I was taught and believed for so long. That couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Let me just tell you about the Episcopal church. They are completly about affirming and welcoming everyone. They believe women are equal to men, and that LGBT people are full members of the church and that God loves them fully without exception. As I learned more and more about this religion I just knew they were speaking the true word of Jesus. Jesus was loving. He was not hateful. God is to not be feared, he loves all creatures and people he created, including gay and lesbian people. If you are LGBT and think you can’t be a Christian or don’t think Christians will be accepting of you, please look into the Episcopal church! I’m not trying to convert anyone here, I’m just very overjoyed. I have never been baptized before but I hope to be baptized in this church.💓💗
