Wrong anti biotics for my Uti

In a world where medical costs are so high, it’s a shame that many medical professionals are unable to prescribe the right medication for simple issues... I’ve been suffering with a uti in my bladder (e coli) for a while now and the reason for this is that my gp put me on a 5 day course (x2) of a anti biotic known as MOXIBAY ... I have no idea why this was his first choice but when researching this drug it seems that it shouldn’t be used for UTIs and to make it worse , it’s really really harsh and has some of the worst side effects.

Now I’m sitting here at 2;30 in the morning feeling an uncomfortable amount of pelvic pain and frustrated at the amount of money I paid for the wrong medical help :(

Are there any specific antibiotics I should consider for this UTI? I rather ask those who experienced this first hand than trained medical professionals- so bummed.
