Black Lives Matter

I protest for my sons...soon they will ask questions about why they draw attention when they are outside of their own community. They’ll ask why their skin color is different and why does it seem like it’s them against the world. This saddens my heart because what other culture has to have these conversations with their children at such a tender age because their skin is different. My husband and I will raise strong black men but I wish to see them thrive in a world that wants to see them do well but that isn’t currently the case. So we are fighting for change. I will not be silenced and I thank all the brothers and sisters out there from other cultures joining the fight with us.
