Reporting sexual assault years later? 🚨 trigger warning

I was sexually assaulted when I was 12 years old and the guy was 15. I’m now 19 and I guess I’m just curious if I could still report it. I live in Nevada if that helps at all. I don’t think I will as I don’t want my family to know, but it would be nice to know if I had the option to. It has ruined my whole life.

Edit: I didn’t report it because I was scared of him and worried my family would blame me. I needed an adult woman I could trust with it and my mom wasn’t that person for me and neither was my older sister. I had a dad I could trust, but I wasn’t comfortable talking about it with a man.

As for evidence, there was a witness. She was a friend of mine and his and everything took place at her apartment.
