First IVF Attempt - Feeling Frustrated

This is my first attempt at IVF after 5 failed IUIs.

I was really hopeful going into the process but after my appt yesterday, I’m feeling defeated and frustrated. After doing all these shots, to find out I may not even be able to go through with the IVF procedure, was upsetting.

Yesterday was day 8 and I went in for the routine blood test and sonogram. For the procedure, they want at least 3 follicles that are 17mm at least by the time they do the egg retrieval. I have 2 that are likely to get that big. They’re about 12mm now. Then I have 5 other follicles that are about 8mm. So unless 1 of the 5 catch up, the doctors is going to recommend not doing IVF and possibly just doing an IUI. Then try again next month. 😞
