Traveling after transfer

Who traveled the day after transfer. We were think of taking an 8 hour car trip to visit family the day after transfer. Would be coming back home around 6dpt I wouldn’t be driving my husband would be I’m thinking it will make the wait less stressful but I dunno. Who traveled, and did you have a successful transfer. I just had a failed transfer last month. Should we just stay home?
