Any overweight moms out there?

Any women overweight and pregnant and when I say over weight i mean 300+ when I was 17 weeks my doctor asked me if i could feel my baby n my response was no not at all n he gave me a funny look but when we did the ultra aound she was just a wiggling around well I'm 19 weeks now and still nothing has anyone had or is having this issue it kinda worries me if I should be feeling her by now...

No need to be worried..not sure why doc would make a weird face at that. Many women don’t feel babies until after 20+ weeks. I weighed 140 with my first pregnancy and didn’t feel baby until the very last few weeks. I’m 158 lbs now and don’t feel baby at all at 17 weeks.

How are you feeling? Are you high risk? I am very obese (mainly my thyroids fault now) and just found out I am pregnant with my second.

Its normal not to feel baby until 20-24 weeks even for a non obese mother

I’m over 300lbs and my first pregnancy (I hadn’t yet surpassed the 300 mark) I had extremely high blood pressure. They monitored me closely for pre eclampsia but the worst that happened was my bp was 166/110 at one point. BUT my water broke on it’s own and I vaginally delivered my daughter at 39w4d. 
I’m currently pregnant with my son and I’m being monitored once again due to my history, but at my last baby appointment my blood pressure was 116/73! I weigh more now than I did the first time around and this is a muchhhhh better pregnancy lol.

I am over 300 lbs and I didn’t feel the baby until week 24, but I also have an anterior placenta. I was sent to MFM specialists for my anatomy scan and all ultrasounds show her moving a lot. So, don’t worry if you can’t feel your baby just yet. Most overweight/obese or otherwise will not feel baby until week 20-24. You may be considered high risk due to your weight. Also, depends on your age as well. I’m 35 and have been labeled as High risk due to my age, as well as my weight. Best wishes during your pregnancy.

I’m plus size and 36w4d and couldn’t feel baby move or kick until I was into 20 something weeks. I also have an anterior placenta so that’s also why. Pregnancy weight has put me over 300 but I still feel my son moving and grooving. Don’t let the dr stress you out. 
And just a heads up, you will eventually have a gestational diabetes test. Make sure you’re hydrated and eating somewhat healthy through out your pregnancy.

With my first, I didn’t feel wiggles until somewhere between 20-22 weeks, so just give it time. 17 weeks is pretty early for a first time mom anyway !
