So I’ve been talking with this kid for about 2 months now. He graduated highschool this year, and is taking a gap year, and I am going to be a senior in the fall.  We have been pretty open to each other about stuff, and he has emphasized the point of how he takes consent very seriously. He said that he is shy, but that as long as I give consent, he will make the moves when it comes to sex.  I told him I’m a virign and he said that its not a big deal, and that when we do have sex, he is only focused on making sure im happy, feel safe and comfortable. We were talking about hanging out, and we also started talking about sex, but more of fingering, blowjobs and such.  He said he wants to take it slow, and that he wants to wait on having sex, which I am completely fine with.  However, he did tell me that he has hooked up with about 12 people in the past 2 years, and I cant tell if he is just playing me, or if he is genuinely interested in me. He does seem genuine, but I really can’t tell. I was thinking that since he wants to wait to have sex, that it means he wants to spend more time with me, but I am not 100% sure.  I’ve never been in a relationship or had any sexual encounters, so its really confusing to me.  What are your thoughts?
