Moving while pregnant?

Sa

Our house is relatively small. The plan was always to renovate the downstairs and convert the garage. However, now that I am pregnant, the clock is ticking. My husband has put SO much work into our home. It’s really hard to leave it, but he is tired of the constant projects, and I support him.

We’ve been house hunting, but it’s hard. We also want a lake home soon, so we don’t want to overspend on our home. It’s really hard to find a home we like, in the school district we like, with the space and features we need...in our budget.

There’s another city about 30 minutes away. It’s known for being a little “rough”. My husband works there, and commutes daily. We can get A LOT more for our money there. There are two areas that have excellent schools and are very nice parts of the community. We are willing to expand our search there.

I love our town. My mommy friends are here. We would be 30 more minutes away from my mom who is already 50 minutes away. Additionally, I don’t want to switch doctors. I LOVE my midwife and the hospital I gave birth at last time. My husband says I don’t have to change. It just seems annoying to have to drive so far to a doctor’s appointment so frequently and to potentially ride 30 minutes in labor. (My water broke and I went into labor at home last time.)

Am I being silly? I hate to drag my feet about dumb stuff. I really look forward to my mom’s weekly visits, and I fear she want want to drive the extra time so frequently. I don’t think I can convince her to move closer to us, even though she doesn’t have much holding her back.

My husband is the logical one and I am the one with all the feelings. Ha.
