Losing weight - how I lost 44 pounds in 3-4 months

I have always been insecure about my weight, I still am! Everyone has insecurities and no matter what people tell you, it will still be there. However, I am proud of myself and I do feel way better about myself. You should only lose weight when you are in the right mindset and when you want to, and when you are truly dedicated and motivated! When I wanted to start losing weight it was because I was tired of looking in the mirror and hating myself and feeling like I always had to cover myself up! I wanted to be those girls that could post themselves on instagram - full body pictures that someone else has taken! So I decided that was the right time for me and I would stick to it, and I did! I had learned about the keto diet through my mum. Do I recommend the keto diet? Yes! I do it is an easy way to lose weight quickly and afterwards you can maintain the weight you have achieved in other ways. Is it the healthiest diet? Probably not, no. If you want to do the keto diet, do not do it for a long time period! And if you wish to do it for a long time, have a month break in between every few months! So if you were to do it for 2 months, then have a month off. This “month off” does not mean pig out and eat whatever you want. Stick to a healthy diet maintain your recommended calorie intake for that month everyday and of course you can have a cheat day once a week during this month. However, once your on the keto diet I would recommended not to cheat. The way the keto diet works is that you stick to a mainly protein diet with very little carb intake. What this does is it makes you start burning the fat in your body rather than the carb (ketosis) as it does not have any carbs to burn! It takes around 1 week to get into this progress of ketosis. So if you are cheating once a week, it will take you out of ketosis and you will have to start that week again to get you back into ketosis. Of course you will still lose weight even cheating once a week however, it will be a lengthier process. As I said I do not recommend doing it for a long period of time!
