What's your city's garbage/ recycling policy ?

I live in Southern Ontario. My city does weekly pickup for recycling and green bins. No limit on the amount of bins, but you need at least 2 to properly sort! Then garbage is picked up every other week with a limit of 4 bags. Exceptions for holidays and Covid they've put the limit up to 6.

I honestly don’t even know if the truck comes once a week or every 2 weeks, but we don’t have a limit.
We have 5 bins to sort into:
Garbage
Green bin / food waste
Paper
Glass
Cans and Other Containers

We have to sort our waste in; plastic, glass& metal, paper & cardboard, foods, and the rest(not possible to recycle). Every other week they pick up "the rest" and one of the other types of garbage, and the next week they pick up the paper & cardboard and another type. In the summer they collect the food waste more often. And glass-metal is collected 5times a year.

We also live in Southern Ontario. Garbage, recycling and green bins are picked up weekly. We are limited to 1 garbage bag a week and can buy garbage tags for additional bags for $2 each. We recycle so much that we never go over 1 bag.

We have one trash bin and one recycling bin they pick up every Monday.  Everything has to fit in the bins.  They used to pick up big items (some furniture pieces) that did not fit, but they don’t do that anymore.

Very similar here in Atlantic Canada. But we have weekly pickup for both in my town. Limit of 4 bags of garbage per week per household, and no limit on recycling.
