Is there a way I can get birth control pills without parents knowing?

Hi so I’m currently 18 and want to be on birth control pills because a pregnancy is not what I’m looking for right now but my parents are very strict and asking them if I can get it is out of the question because they’d then know I was having sex and lose it. I plan on using our insurance to cover the cost of it but if I go to the doctors will they be able to see that I’ve been prescribed it or that the insurance is paying for it??

It really depends... i get it though insurance and I get my pills delivered through pillclub.com and it isn’t a monthly statement that comes. It’s actually rare for me to receive any of the statements. There’s also planned parenthood if that’s available where you are. Just let them know you cannot let your parents know and ask for the pact card. It’s a planned parenthood secondary insurance which is free

I find that really sad that your parents would be like that😞 I talk to my mum about EVERYTHING! And she would much rather me be honest with her and know I’m preventing pregnancy rather than get caught out and put in a predicament!

If you can get into a planned parenthood they provide HIPPA and so nobody comes back there and a sliding scale income. I have NO insurance and I got in there and out with my pills for $50 if that!

Just go to your local health department and tell them you dont have insurance. They will give you free or very low cost birth control. When I did it, they only charged me $5 for a 3 month supply.

Yes, they will. If it processes through insurance they provide for you they will be able to see the details. Planned Parenthood may be a better resource for you in this situation.
