Spotting before period ?

Question

For all the ladies who spot before periods ,
I have two questions :
1) what are the resons for it ?Is it low progesterone ?
2) When and if you got your BFP ,Did you spot even in that cycle before hand or not ?
It is really important for me ?

I don’t know if it’s related to low progesterone- I always have super light spotting (usually brown but on occasion have had a pinkish/red spotting) on and off around 9/10dpo and it gets more constant until I finally start my period (I have a 15 day luteal phase) but when I was pregnant I didn’t spot at all

Everyone woman's period is different. s
Some spot leading into heavy bleeding, some are heavy out of the gate, etc... as far as I know it has nothing to do with progesterone levels. Your corpus luteal cyst produces progesterone for up to 14 days before you period and if no implantation it goes away and progesterone drops which then causes your thicken uterine lining to sluff off leading to your period. The rate at which and how much sluffs off is just variable between ladies. 
Women who spot before their positive pregnancy test is usually due to implantation bleeding which happens in roughly 20% of women. There can also be brown spotting (old blood) from previous period, from ovulation, from the cyst and all before your period or before a positive pregnancy test. There is no just black and white answer. Also some women may spot throughout an entire pregnancy. Or spotting can just be a precursor to a period. Usually implantation is 1-3 days of SUPER light pink spotting. 
With any miscarriage your body also might not be the same. Hormones can cause a lot of changes in your body whether every cycle or just once.

I have always spotted before period, noticed it getting earlier and earlier in my cycle as of this year and turns out mine was from endo! 1 week post surgery today!
