Baby rubs his eyes all day?

My son generally sleeps 10-12 hours at night (not straight, but overall) and takes 3 45-minute naps during the day. There's no way I can get him to sleep anymore than he does. He rubs his eyes all day though, even when he wakes up happy and well-rested. It's almost a constant thing. Does anyone know why that might be? I wish I could help him sleep more but I just don't know how

Allergies maybe? Do they water?

My boy does this but he has eczema and even when it's not flared up, he still rubs his face a bunch. Could just be itchy. Maybe slightly dry skin.

Any eye lashes that turns inwards? 
Suddenly starting using a new lotion/deodorant/perfume/something with a strong scent? 
Air conditioner on 24/7? 
If you take a picture of baby with a Blitz/flash straight forward, is the reflections equally red in both eyes? 
Any family history of keratoconus? Or other corneal problems? 
Sorry, my work-brain was switched on 🤓 but if it's something that continues I would see an eye doc, too much running of the eyes isn't good and can actually trigger some diseases.
