Amniocentesis for women 35+

Hi ladies,

I’m really trying to get a sense for a number of things regarding this diagnostic test. It was recommended due to my age and I’m struggling with whether or not to have it done.

1. How many of you 35+ did the test ? What was the result?

2. How many did the test and had a mc?

3. How many had “normal/low risk” results in screening (bloodwork and nuchal translucency test), and still opted for the test due to age?

4. How many women over 35+ had unhealthy babies?

5. How many had normal preliminary test(blood and nuchal, no amino, and was surprised to have an unhealthy baby?
