Cramping 15 weeks?

First time mom! I am almost 16 weeks pregnant and I’ve been experiencing full cramping in my lower abdomen. Is this part of round ligament pain? I have had other sharp pains that last for a few second, which haven’t concerned me. But I wasn’t sure if the cramping was normal at this point in my pregnancy?

I had cramping at exactly 15 weeks and I called my doctor. She said if it continued, they would have me come in to test for a UTI (but I didn’t have any other symptoms) or that it could simply be “growing pains” and a little cramping can be normal throughout pregnancy but if it would get to the point of pain requiring an ER would be problematic.  My was growing pains!
